• Pizzaiolo in training

  • As a Trainee Pizzaiolo you’ll receive highly practical training from the moment you join us. You’ll learn all about our menu, the ingredients we use, and how to make dough for example. We’ll take you through the training plan step by step, which usually takes around 4-6 weeks.Then, as a Pizzaiolo, you’ll be invited to attend our internal courses at the Training Academy. Just some of the things you’ll learn here are food safety, dough management and controlling kitchen costs.

• Manager in training

  • Our Restaurant Management training programme is restaurant based and highly practical, giving you a perfect understanding of how to implement brilliantly and run your own restaurant your own way.Over the course of 7 weeks, the programme will see you follow your very own personal training plan. Tailored precisely to your needs, this plan will make sure that you spend this time building on your existing experience, allowing you to develop your own management style.It will offer you the opportunity to complete internal courses on anything from people management to licensing regulations, as well as the chance to study for industry recognised qualifications.You will also shadow established managers in a number of different restaurants, giving you first hand experience of how the job is done day-to-day and different management styles.And by spending some time training with chefs in the kitchen, you will also learn about how we create our unique product, and see how PizzaExpress gets the best out of cooking with fresh ingredients.Throughout your training, you will receive full pay as well as constant support from our dedicated management training team and your Operations Manager.However, your training won’t grind to a halt once you graduate the programme (complete with certificates, streamers, the full works).
